Our first exposure to Riverstone was the grand entrance, beautiful landscaping and nice homes. We thought it would be a great place to live, so we bought a home and began the building process.

After anxiously waiting a year, we were excited to move into our beautiful new Riverstone home. We had our home professionally decorated and planned to live there for many years. After 17 months, we didn’t see the appeal of Riverstone or the area anymore so we sold our home, for less than we paid, and moved away.

Riverstone has a walk score of “0”, meaning, almost all errands require a car; it is not convenient to walk to anything. The community is made up of cookie-cutter homes; same models, colors and landscaping.

We didn’t move away solely because we no longer liked our Riverstone home. We found living in Naples is much different than taking short vacations there. Naples seems to be about image and facade with little to no substance.

The weather is too hot, too long for us. All too often, when you take a drive, you will witness an auto accident or near accident. Beware of constant red-light runners and high speed dump trucks on Immokalee Road barreling to and from construction sites. Currently, you can’t avoid Immokalee Road getting to and from Riverstone.

Look at the number of Riverstone re-sales on the market, a community that is so new. Some sellers have now cut their original listing price by more than $100,000. All that glitters is not gold!
